We are delighted to be part of the Local Government Association Annual Conference 2015 in Harrogate, starting today (June 30th) and runs until Thursday July 2nd and looks set to be a fascinating event.

We work closely with a number of councils across the country and are very aware of the multiple, complex issues local authorities are currently facing. In order to maximise our understanding of how we can work with you to address these issues we are hosting a number of sessions to discuss ideas on a number of topics.

The 2015 LGA annual conference, the biggest event in the local government calendar, attracting over 1,200 delegates, takes place fifty days into the new government, at a time where spending decisions are being made which will affect Local Government for years to come.

The event is considered essential for Council Leaders and Chief Executives, senior officers, lead members and policy makers across all services provided by local authorities. The conference regularly attracts high numbers from our partners across the wider public sector, the private and voluntary sectors.

We will be conducting a series of four sessions at the conference, in addition to our stand (no.36) in the exhibition area. For more information about our LGA Annual Conference 2015 sessions please see the list below.

Session One: Regeneration and Economic Development
30th June 12.30 – 1.15pm

How can councils practically realise and deliver long term regeneration projects balancing the needs of all parties? This session will be lead by Chris Roberts who served as the leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich for 14 years, during which time the area underwent considerable regeneration.

Session Two: Devolution – The New Opportunities

This session will be led by Sir Merrick Cockell, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea councillor from 1986 – 2015, Leader from 2000-2013 and Chairman of the LGA from 2011-2014.

Session Three: Local Government Finance
1st July 1pm – 1.45pm
